FITCHVILLE - Mary Roberts, oldest daughter of Abijah Roberts and Esther King, was born Sept. 10th, 1810, in Mt. Washington, Berkshire Co., Mass. Was married to D. M. Pratt April 24th, 1832. Lived in Cambridge, Washington Co., New York, three years, removing soon after to Ohio, settling on the A. G. Post farm and living there at the time of her death, over fifty-nine years. She experienced religion at the age of 22 and lived a consistent christian life, and all this time enjoyed a Savior's love. She was seized with la grippe April 28th and died May 5th, 1891. We shall not attempt to describe the scenes of her sick room and funeral. She died the death of a triumphant christian.*[1]
